Paros
The commercial part of the town lies along the sea front. Here are most of the tavernas, restaraunts and bars, full of life during the tourist season. In Paroikia, there are nice beaches, like the Livadia, Krios, Marchelo, Kato Yialos, Delfini, which are close to the centre and the same time have the privacy of a beach.
Arriving at the port of Parikia, the coastal road to Livadia will bring you to “Sofia” Pension.
Sightseeing & Attractions in Paros Greece
It is well worth to dedicate an afternoon or two going around Paros, to explore the island and its great attractions which are considered real gems.
The wonderful church of Panagia Ekatontapiliani in Parikia is a must see, as well as the 13th century Frankish castle, the sanctuaries of Asklipios and the Delion Sanctuary, and the archaeological museum with interesting exhibits.
Nature lovers should not miss visiting the butterfly valley in Psychopiana and admire the lush vegetation and the rare butterfly species.
You can also visit the Mycenaean Acropolis in Kolimbithres on top of a hill with remnants of ancient settlements from where you can admire a wonderful panorama.
Paros is well-known for its golden sandy beaches and crystalline waters, each one offering visitors anything they are seeking off.
From popular beach bars on full service beaches to beaches with diving, wind and kite surfing centres, to remote well sheltered coves it is worth visiting them all.
Some of the most famous Paros beaches are Santa Maria Beach, the Golden Beach and the New Golden Beach, the impressive Kolimbithres, Pounda, Piperi, Parasporos and many more extraordinary beaches.

You can travel to / from Paros Island by high-speed boat, ferry boat or plane.
Travelling to Paros
If you enjoy sea journeys you can opt for ferry boats or high-speeds both from the Port of Piraeus and from Rafina Port. From Rafina Port to Paros the trip is shorter than from Piraeus, which lasts about 5 hours.
You can also fly to Paros from the Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”. Paros Airport is 11 km from Parikia Town and is connected throughout the year with many international airports. It takes 45 minutes to fly from the Athens Airport to Paros.
